Last year I was invited to help Jan Willem and his pal Sander pit Sir Charles Graham against restless Anwar fuzzy-wuzzies in Black Powder’s rulebook scenario “The Battle of El Teb 1884”. Thusly:

We found that, like the mills of the Gods, Brigade Squares with manhandled artillery on either front corner (as per Black Powder rulebook page 76) grind slowly but exceedingly small. Units count as being supported from the flank and rear (+3 bonus) and may even ignore failed break tests. The result is a quasi-impenetrable formation. Bad luck for Johnny Arab who gave it his restless best but was routed soon after this picture was taken.
